A Great Start to the New Year

Greg and I went with his parents to a Milwaukee Bucks game yesterday. I wasn't sure what to expect because a: I'm not necessarily a Bucks fan (Go Pacers!), b: all the Bucks games I'd ever attended had been pretty boring and c: I have some sort of stomach flu and have been sick all week.

The verdict? We had a wonderful time! We went out to dinner beforehand at a yummy German restaurant. I had fish fry (hey, it was Friday) and potato pancakes. Mmmm...

It was just a wonderful way to end the day. I had spent the morning and most of the afternoon laying on the couch trying to rest and get well. Greg and I ran a few errands and then I spent some time getting ready. You know when you're sick and all you want to do is sleep? I thought that if I spent some time looking spiffy and getting dolled up that maybe it would help. It did! Until about 2 miles before we pulled into our driveway, because then I had to press my face against the window, unbutton my coat and turn the heat off to try to keep the potato pancakes where they belonged, in my stomach.

We got home and Greg took out some saltines for me and I went to bed. Today isn't a whole lot better, but it is better, so I'm holding on to that.

Oh, and Micheal Jordan was at the game! Thank goodness for 10x zoom on my camera!

He's the one in the brown suit. :)

I hope you start feeling better soon. I've had this cold for like 2 weeks now and I'm just now starting to feel better. And does MJ stink or something? Looks like no one wants to sit by him. =)

I never really got into professional sports. The ability (and propensity) of players to change teams on a whim just kind of takes all the enjoyment out of it for me, not to mention the ridiculous amounts of cash they get paid to put the ball in the basket.

Hope you feel better!
